Project Description
OVERVIEW
Covenant Health Systems was looking for ways to reduce energy costs and become more eco-friendly, so they contracted Co-Energy America to install a 150 kW CHP system at Youville and an 85 kW CHP at Mary Immaculate.
The payback on these investments was two years. Thanks to the Co-Energy CHP, Mary Immaculate saves approximately $66,000 per year on energy costs and has reduced its carbon footprint by 346 tons per year. Youville’s 150 kW CHP saves the facility $127,000 per year and reduces its carbon footprint by 783 tons.
In addition to the annual energy savings, the CHPs generate roughly $47,000 of revenue per year for the facilities in the form of Alternative Energy Credits.
As with all of our installations, Co-Energy America provides a full service, multi-year maintenance contract to help ensure maximum uptime.
